2021_JDC PP Chandler Stand Up

Tori Kiser performed her Contemporary solo to "At Last" and was awarded a Platinum and Tori also received First Place Photogenic. This performance was choreographed by Casia Basia and taught by Ms. Lois.

Lindsay Hague performed her Contemporary solo to "Champion" and was awarded a Gold.  Ms. Rachel is the instructor for this performance.

Myla McGhee competed her contemporary solo to "Freedom" and was awarded a Gold and a Judges Choice Award for "Effortless Flow".  Ms. Rachel is the instructor for this performance.

Competing in Junior Intermediate Category was Hayes McMahan who competed her performance to "I Put a Spell on You" in the Open category.  Hayes was awarded a Platinum Award, was the Open Category Winner, received a Judges Choice Award "Storytelling," was First Place photo-genic winner and placed First Overall and designated Explosive Entertaining Winner.  Hayes is National Champion.  Ms. Lois is the instructor for this performance.

Competing Contemporary in Junior Competitive to "Angel by the Wing"  was Lily Overholser who was awarded a Gold and was Contemporary Category Winner, was awarded second place Best Costume, and third place photogenic and fourth overall.  This performance was choreographed by Casia Basia and taught by Ms. Lois.

Keanna Phelps performing her jazz solo in the Teen Intermediate cate-

gory to "Dance Like Yo Daddy" was awarded gold, Judges' Choice Award of "Sassy Queen" and placed eighth overall out of 40 solos.  Ms. Lois is the instructor for this performance.

Lauryn Hague performed her lyrical solo in Teen Competitive to "Dynasty" and was awarded a Gold.  Lauryn has competed before for Jax Gym and has gone back to compete again with Jax, while continuing in JDC.  Ms. Rachel was the instructor for this performance.

Competing in Senior Competitive Solos to "Stand Up" was Chandler Dean who was awarded a Gold.  Chandler was Second Place Photogenic.  Ms. Rachel was the instructor for this performance.

Competing "Such a Night" in the Open category, Junior Novice Category was Trent Armstrong.  Trent was awarded a Platinum award, Open Category Winner and a Judges Choice for "Gene Kelly Award" and placed eighth overall out of 43 performances.   Trent's performance was choreographed by Kyle Plunkett and taught by Ms. Lois.

Landree Malloy performed her lyrical solo to "Rainbow" (taught by Ms. Lois) and was awarded a Gold, was the Lyrical Category Winner and placed 10th overall.  Landree was the First Place Photogenic Winner.

Adaline Trent is JDC's youngest dancer at only four years old and also competed JAX Gym Level One.  Adaline competed her lyrical solo to "Colors of the Wind" in the Mini Division and was awarded a Gold and Placed Third overall out of 22 solos.  She was also designated the Mini Miss Southern Sweetie.  Ms. Lois is the instructor for Adaline.

JACKSONVILLE DANCE COMPANY (JDC) competed at the 2021 Triumph National Dance Competition which was held June 3-4-5-6 in Branson, Mo.

Most of you, by now, already know how well JDC did, but I'm posting it all here to retain for posterity.  We are so proud of JDC and their accomplishments under the direction of Ms. Lois, assisted by Ms. Rachel, and with Kristof teaching technique for these dancers, which has really improved the dancers in performing their wonderful choreography.  JDC won ten Championships at the competition, along with winning the Top Intermediate Studio (intermediate performances winning more points than any other studio --this is the fourth time this year that JDC has won this honor.  Ms. Lois and Ms. Rachel each won choreography awards -and, oh, yes, JDC won a Technique award, too - performance, choreography and technique - what more coud we ask for!!!!Trying hard to not break our arms for patting ourselves on the back!

 

 

 

 

 

The Triumph National Competition began Thursday with Josie Epperson performing a Jazz solo  to "Rockstar" for which she was awarded a

 Platinum and placed third overall.  Rachell was Josie's instructor for this dance.

Aubrey Hague performed her lyrical solo in the Petite Inter-mediate Category  to "Head Above Water" and was awarded a Platinum, was the lyrical category winner and placed First Overall - another Champion!  Ms. Rachel was Aubrey's instructor for this performance.Aubrey also competes Jax Gym Team and this season was State Champion for her age bracket, Level Four.

Lianna - a National Champion!

Kaylee Pelkey performed her lyrical dance to "My Always" and was awarded Platinum and was the Lyrical Category Winner and Placed First Overall out of 32 Performances.  Ms. Lois was the instructor for this performance.  Kaylee and Josie competed in the Petite Novice Category.  Kaylee - a National Champion!

Competing lyrical in the Petite Competitive category, to "Only Hope," Lianna Over-holser was awarded Platinum, was the Lyrical Category winner, and placed First Overall.  Lianna was also  the petite Miss Southern Sweetie Title Winner. Ms. Lois is Lianna's instructor. Lianna also competes Jax Gym.

Mae Armstrong performed her lyrical solo to "Ashes" and was awarded Gold.  Ms. Lois is the instructor for this performance.

Tori Kiser competed her performance to "Best Shot" in the Open Category and was awarded a Platinum Award and won second place Explosive Entertainer Award and placed sixth overall (out of 59 solos.)  This performance was choreographed by Casia Basia and taught by Ms. Lois.

Lindsay Hague performed her self-choreographed lyrical solo to "Anyone" and was awarded a Gold and placed

tenth ouf of 59 solos.  

Mae Armstrong performed her jazz solo to Fever" and was awarded a Gold.  Ms. Lois is the instructor for this performance.
