Chandler Dean and Myla McGhee have been competing tap together for three or four years.  They tapped to "Wanna Be Down," choreographed by Sydney Kneuven and taught by Ms. Lois and were awarded a Double Diamond, were chosen for the Parade of Champions, were awarded a Judges Choice Award of "Swag" and placed Eighth overall.

Tori Kiser and Myla McGhee competed their contemporary performance to "Water" and were awarded a Double Diamond.  This performance was choreographed by Casia Basia and taught by Ms. Rachel.

Competing Contemporary to "White Flag" were senior dancers, Mae Armstrong, Chandler Dean, Lindsay Hague, Tori Kiser and Myla McGhee.  This performance was taught by Ms. Rachel and was awarded a Double Diamond.

This fun jazz peformance, taught by Ms. Rachel, was awarded a Double Diamond.  Performing in this number were Mae Armstrong, Chandler Dean, Lauryn Hague, Lindsay Hague, Tori Kisser, Myla McGhee and Keanna Phelps.

Performing in this beautiful lyrical performance to "Waves" were Mae Armstrong, Chandler Dean, Lauryn Hague, Lindsay Hague, Tori Kiser, Myla McGhee and Keanna Phelps.  This performance was taught by Ms. Rachel and was awarded a Double Diamond and was awarded  a Judges Choice Award of "Poetry in Motion.

Tapping to "Rhythm Nation" were Mae Armstrong, Chandler Dean, Tori Kiser, Myla McGhee and Keanna Phelps.  This performance, choreographed by Kyle Plunkett and taught by Ms. Lois was awarded a Double Diamond.

The Senior Dancers are shown here with their Double Diamond awards with instructors Ms. Lois and Ms. Rachel.  Those Double Diamond awards mean so much - their technique and performances were top scores.  Way to go,JDC!

The Talent on Parade National Competition week was a hard week for everyone but was so fulfilling for the dancers and instructors.  They are now home and will hold a clinic in early August to audition for new dancers and new performances.  We can hardly wait - more days of very hard and difficult work for dancers and instructors.  Additionally, Ms. Lois and Ms. Rachel will also become Coach Lois and Coach Rachel as they take on the Jax Gym Competitive Level One Team.
