Grayson was awarded First-Place Individual All-Around for her age bracket.  Congratulations, Grayson!  This was Grayson's second meet in a row to win First-Place Individual All-Around.

Competing Xcel Platinum for Jax Gym were Kaeani Cruz, Anna Highfill, Kenzie Howerton and Kensley Rickett.  

Jax Gym Xcel gymnasts--Levels Gold, Platinum and Diamond--competed in the Jan 29 - 31st Louisiana Cup Invitational.  This meet is held annually at the AcroSports Center in Shreveport, La.  Acrosports Gymnastics is the host for this meet and Jax Gym has been competing at this meet for many years and their hospitality is always enjoyed by Jax.  For many years, the meet was held at the Centenary Gold Dome, which was always a great experience for those who had not been there before.  The gym where the meet was held is a dual-purpose large gym - the gymnastics equipment was placed on top of the Astro Turf.

Jax Gym Xcels levels, Coached by Coach Stacy, competed on Sunday afternoon.  Xcel Gold gymnasts who competed in the meet were Virginia Chestnutt, Ariana Cruz, Lily Field and Grayson Thomas.  The team placed Fourth and Grayson placed First-Place Individual All-Around for her age range.

Mae Armstrong and Elizabeth Scott competed Xcel Diamond, the highest level in xcel.  Elizabeth placed first and Mae placed second.  Both of these gymnasts are assistant coaches and Mae is also in Jax Dance Company.  Elizabeth is a senior this year, which means it's her last season to compete.  Always hard to see the gymnasts hang up their grips - especially when some of these gymnasts have been with us since they were in preschool and have always been at Jax Gymnastics.  I would love to go back over the years and see who all and how many have graduated with us in both competitive dance and gymnastics.
