LOUISIANA CUP INVITATIONAL

 

SHREVEPORT, LOUISIANA

LEVELS SEVEN, EIGHT, NINE AND TEN

 

The Jacksonville Gymnastic Team Optionals traveled to Shreveport to compete Saturday night with fifty-seven gymnasts from eight teams four from Louisiana, two from Texas, and two from Arkansas.  The meet, hosted by AcroSports, was held in the Centenary College Gold Dome.  The AcroSports team and parents are most hospitable and I'm sure that all had a great time. 

 

The Level Seven Team Members competed with twenty five gymnasts from seven teams and won the Third-Place Team Trophy.  Jacksonville Level Seven Gymnasts are Taylor Butler, Rachel Flippen, Jessica McDonough, Jordan Rogers, Stephanie Singleton and Lynzie VanBrocklin.  The gymnasts won the following top honors:

The Jacksonville Gymnastics Level Eight Team gymnasts competed with sixteen Level Eight gymnasts from eight teams.  The Level Eight gymnasts who won the First-Place Team Banner were Tonie Butler, Mackenzie Ellis, Kendra Lytch and Katelin McLain.  The gymnasts also won the following top honors:

The Jacksonville Level Nine Team gymnasts competed with sixteen Level Nine gymnasts from five teams.  The competing Level Nine gymnasts from the Jacksonville Team won the First-Place Team Banner.  They also won the following top honors:

The Jacksonville Gymnastics Level Nine Team proudly pose here at the center of the award stage with their First-Place Team Banner.  Holding the banner are Kimmie and Haley and standing behind them are Courtney, Tori and Taylor Rai.  We know how hard these gymnasts work and we are so very, very proud of them!!!

 

 

Kayla Edgin, Jacksonville Gymnastics Level Ten Gymnast, is shown here with the brace that she is wearing to protect her ankle which she injured Tuesday night.  Kayla will be out of commission, as far as competing goes, for a few more than several weeks.  We are hoping she will be back competing by our Emerald Classic Meet for sure.
