JACKSONVILLE GYMNASTICS WINS AT STATE MEET -  

TWO STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS  -

AND SIX INDIVIDUAL STATE CHAMPIONS - LEVEL SIX - TEN!!!!

 

 

Nine-Year-Old Jordan Rogers - State Champion - Level Six

 

Kaitlin McLain, State Champion, Level Six, Twelve-Year-Old

 

Nine-year-old Tonie Butler, Level Seven State Champion

 

Stephanie Singleton, Level Seven State Champion, Age Fourteen

 

Kimmie Edwards, Level Eight State Champion, Age Thirteen

 

Eleven-Year-Old Level Nine State Champion - Haley Edgin

 

Each of these 2009 State Champions were first year gymnasts at their level!

 

REGIONAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

After event awards were announced and after winning team announcements were made, announcements were made of those selected for Region Three competitions for Level Eight, Level Nine and Level Ten.  Jacksonville Level Eight Kimmie Edwards will be going to Level Eight Regionals at Norman, Oklahoma, April 24 - 26.  And Level Nine gymnasts, Haley Edgin, Kayla Edgin, Courtney Ellis and Taylor Rai Johnson will be traveling to Denver, Colorado, for Level Nine Regionals to be held April 17 - 19.

Arkansas is in Region Three which includes gymnasts from Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, Wyoming and Arkansas.  Only a certain percentage of gymnasts are eligible for Regionals.  We are so proud of our gymnasts for being selected.

Gymnastics Scholarships

One last note, at the meet, it was also announced that two gymnasts from the state have already been selected for gymnastics scholarships.  Jessica Lieblich will be attending Centenary College in Shreveport and Amanda Siebert has been selected for a full gymnastic scholarship with the Lady Razorbacks!  We are so proud of these gymnasts and look forward to more gymnasts receiving scholarships in the future.
