This table shows a couple of the colorful centerpieces furnished for the Hospitality Room by Candy Bouquets.

Coaches Laurel and Erin - no - they weren't resting - I had to ask them to sit down a minute for a picture!  They both worked so hard for this meet!!!!

Kendra and Mackenzie, before their Optional Session, collect donations for Special Olympics.

Gymnasts warm up in the smaller gym while other teams are in the large gym competing.  These gymnasts are warming up floor routines - when rotations are switched, these teams will go out to the big gym to compete their event and others will go to the back gym to warm up their next event.

Looking across at the big gym before gymnasts begin to compete.  The uneven bars are to the left.  On the diagonal across is the vault table, the competition beam can be seen across the floor.  The bar sets cannot be fastened into the floor so those square looking covers at each of the four corners of the bar set is actually covering very heavy kegs of water - a ballast system to holds the bar set to the floor.  These kegs are just a few of the many things that have to be filled for the meet and then emptied when disassembling.

Excitement abounded during the last session on Saturday as 68 Optional Gymnasts--Levels Seven, Eight, Nine and Ten--competed.  There was so much going on that it was difficult to watch everyone.  Of course, only four events were being competed at one time, but it was difficult to watch everyone and take one's team scores at the same time, while also trying to check out all the neat action shots that the team photographers were taking.
