MR. BOBBY TAKES RECREATIONAL GYMNASTS TO

ENTERTAIN AT LOCAL NURSING HOMES

On Wednesday, December 6, Mr. Bobby, our Recreational Gymnastics Director at Huff ‘n Puff, took 22 Level Two Gymnasts and members of the Pee Wee Power Tumbling Class to the Cabot Manor Nursing Home in Cabot.  On Wednesday December 13, Mr. Bobby took students to the Woodland Hills Nursing Home in Jacksonville to perform.

The students who performed with Mr. Bobby ranged in age from five years to twelve years old.  They performed a variety of skills, including forward rolls, round-offs, back bend kickovers, standing back handsprings and standing back tucks.  They also performed a dance skit to “Run, Run Rudolph” and at the end, they sang “We Wish You a Merry Christmas.”

Everyone benefits from these performances by the gymnasts.  The residents at the homes enjoy seeing the children perform their skills and having the company.  It is also a wonderful opportunity for the gymnasts to perform their skills in public.  Many of the gymnasts had also participated in the two Christmas parades and it is all such good experience and prepares them for possibly joining the team or at any rate, helps them to gain self confidence.

This is the second year that Mr. Bobby has taken gymnasts to the nursing homes to perform and he says it won’t be the last.  He wishes to thank all the students and parents for their support and dedication.

Some of the Level Two students who performed at the nursing homes with Mr. Bobby are:  Kolby Browning, Mackenzie Clemente, Sarah Grace Foster, Mary Catherine Hancock, Lindsey Hart, Alexandra Hodum, Madalyn Hogue, Kaylie House, Kaleigh Johnson, Riley Krain, Alexandria Leirer, Taylor Parker, Allison Ramsey, Emma Reed, Clair Reid, Morgan Smiatek, Deja Snyder, Brianna Spurgeon, Cassidy Stokes, Makayla Tedlock and Marissa Wallace.

The power tumblers were Macey Dennis, Jayden Hart, Katelin McLain and Lauren Travis.

Shown here are some of the gymnasts who performed with Mr. Bobby at the nursing homes.
