The Jacksonville Men’s Team has been competing also.  They attended a meet at Sonshine Academy in Conway last weekend where the Level Five Team won the Third-Place Team Banner.  The four members of the team are Jonathan Hand who competes Level Four, and Christopher Leirer, John Taylor and Michael York, who compete at Level Five.  Jonathan received Third-Place Individual All-Around for Level Four, age 10-11.  Michael York also received Third-Place All Around for Level Five, age 10-11.  Teammates John Taylor received Fifth-Place All-Around, and Christopher Leirer received Sixth-Place All Around, both Level Five, age seven to nine.  The men’s team will next attend a large meet at Flame Gymnastics, Ft Smith, where they will compete against large teams from Arkansas, Oklahoma and Louisiana.

Besides winning their All-Around places, the placements on the individual events are listed below.  Each gymnast competes against competitors of similar age at his own level.  Jonathan competes as a Level Four gymnast, age ten - eleven,  and besides winning Third-Place Individual All-Around, he placed First on Rings and tied for First on floor and vault.  He received Second on high bar, Fifth on pommel horse and Sixth on parallel bars.

Michael, Level Five, age ten - eleven, placed First on floor, Second on Vault, Third on High Bar, Fourth on rings and parallel bars and fifth on pommel horse and Third on Individual All-Around.

John and Christopher, who both compete Level Five, seven to nine years, won Fifth and Six consecutively.  John's scores were Second on floor and vault, he received Fourth on parallel bars, Fifth on the rings, high bar and pommel horse.  Christopher placed Fourth on floor, Fifth on vault and sixth on the other events.

Michael, Christopher and John at Conway Men's Meet hosted by Sonshine Academy.      Jonathan also competed in the meet.
