
Huff ‘n Puff Struts Their Stuff for UALR Half-time Show at Alltel Arena
Selected performers from Huff ‘n Puff demonstrated to perfection the skills that they have been taught. A four-minute performance by dancers, gymnasts and cheerleaders gave the audience just a small sample of the skills that many of the performers have spent years perfecting.
The performance was a co-effort of Chris Williams, cheer and hiphop instructor, and Laurel Spears, who is Head Gymnastics Coach, Director of the Dance Department, and Dance Instructor of the Senior Dance Company.
The group of 23 performed to music mixed by Huff ‘n Puff instructor, Chris Williams. These performers were chosen from the three competitive squads at Huff ‘n Puff. Four representatives of the Jacksonville USAG Junior Olympic Gymnastics Competitive Team were chosen to perform gymnastics skills. Ten dancers were chosen from senior members of the Jacksonville Dance Company. Nine cheer members were chosen from the competitive cheer squad at Huff ‘n Puff, the Jacksonville Jaguar All-Star Cheer Squad. The performers are from Jacksonville, Sherwood, North Little Rock and Mabelvale.
Performing in the exhibition were gymnasts, Bonnie Brown, Sarah McAlister, Missy Whittecar and Jessica Wilde. Performing with the dancers were: Kelsea Bruce, Taylor Canfield, Brittany Everett, Whitney Holeman, Camille Holliday, DeAnna Johnson, Samantha Martin, Jessica Raines, Nichole Tackett and Victoria Underwood. Performing with the cheerleaders were: Brandi Babb, Brittil Bone, Meghan Cable, Emily Ingalls, Jasmine Johnson, Kyle Schnebelin, Tina Simone, Lindsey Sweet and Casey Tucker.
