Return Home Zumba Cheerleaders Gymnasts
2011 - Jacksonville Wing Ding and Other Exhibitions
Competitors from Huff 'n Puff and JAX Gym and the JAX Cheer Squad performed exhibitions recently at the Sherwood Fest; and this October 1st weekend, a number of our students performed at the North Little Rock Family Fun Fest and then again at the Jacksonville Wing Ding Festival. The weather cooperated and was beautiful for both Saturdays and what a great showing we had at all three festivals! The JDC dancers and Zumbacizors put on quite a show when they performed in the morning at the Jax Wing Ding.
Before I start with the pictures, etc., I want to thank each of the performers - gymnasts, cheerleaders and dancers and all of the supporting parents for taking your Saturday to make Huff 'n Puff look so good at these events. I also want to thank the Zumba students and the dancers who joined in to help us in the Zumba exhibition. Huff 'n Puff looks better each year and we really topped it this weekend. Our thanks and so much appreciation go to you all and to our staff for all the hard work that went into making us look so good.
And, I have to admit, that even though I have never been a fan of orange (and the entire staff knew that) you all and Huff 'n Puff could not have looked better than our students did this weekend as they wore those wonderful new orange t-shirts.
Of course, everyone has been very busy all year long. Work and training never end and the students and staff go from one event to another. Practically from the minute gymnastics competition season ends, the staff and gymnasts start working on higher skills for the next level. The dancers work and work toward National Competition and then, they, too, audition and immediately start working on new dances with new groups for this next competition season. The cheerleaders have worked very hard with their coaches as the new competitive squad was formed this summer. And, all of this hard work pays off and shows as seen by the audiences yesterday (and all year long).
Ms. Sara was responsible for the exhibition by the Jacksonville Dance Company Dancers and she also instructed the Zumba exhibition. Coaches for the Gymnastics Team Levels were Stacy Howerton, Christy Johnson, Lindsey Sweet and Jackie York. Ms. Audra Wright was responsible for the cheerleaders.
Huff 'n Puff was in charge of the entertainment stage - but it was April Kiser who did all the work in representing Huff 'n Puff. April arranged for all of the acts and coordinated everything for the stage for the day and what a great job she did. She was also a wonderful emcee for the acts. Great job, April, and much appreciation!!!!! April also represents Huff 'n Puff at Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce events.

Note: You all know that I take a lot of pictures - but I'm not a photographer - as evidenced by the fact that I had no idea that there was a spot in the middle of my lens. Okay - I learned something after taking these pictures - I need to learn to check the lens to be sure that it is clean. I apologize to all of you for some of the children not being clear in the pictures.
My first picture was of my Zumba buddies - don't they look good! Zumba gives you a healthy look!!!
Dancers always have fun when they get together!

Dancers, I get so wrapped up in the performances that sometimes I forget to take pictures. I apologize if I missed any of the performances.

Dancers - I found myself watching and forgetting to take pictures, so I apologize if I missed an act.
