STAR MURRY - 2011 - 2012
Ms. Star is a twenty-four-year-old
Atlanta native, whose passion has always been dance. Her dance journey
began in church. It was there that her father started a dance ministry to
foster her gift. She ventured on to ADSA--Anointed Dance Steps
Academy--where she trained from age 16 to 18. During her senior year at
Heritage High School, she was awarded an Outstanding Achievement Award for her
work with the Flag and Dance Corp. She continued on to complete her
freshman year at Brenau University with a major in Arts Management. Upon
her departure, she poured herself into the dance industry. In return, she
gained five years experience in teaching, performing and choreographing.
Some of her accolades include teaching at Atlanta's premier Dance 411 Studios
and completing three seasons with AADR--African American Dance Review.
Now, she is a teacher and choreographer at Huff 'n Puff in Jacksonville,
Arkansas, teaching classes to Jacksonville Dance Company dancers. As
she settles into her new life in Little Rock, Star says that she looks forward
to what God has in store. She says that she has learned that confidence is
the key to dancing and and God is the key to success!
