ERIN POWELL - 2011 - 2012

Erin Powell is associated with JAX GYM in that she teaches her program of Trampoline and Tumbling at the North Little Rock facility.  Her program is the only one in the state and her resume' is so impressive that I'm just going to copy it here.  We are very pleased that Ms. Erin is associated with our programs.  She is having her second child in mid-September and will take a few weeks off then but is planning to be back to teach in mid-October.

Athletic Achievements:

Trampoline and Tumbling:

-       USAG Trampoline and Tumbling Senior National Team Member 1994 – 2001

-       2001 Goodwill Games, Australia – 9th Trampoline

-       1999 World Championships, South Africa – 3rd DMT, 17th Trampoline, only female in world to ever compete in the World Championships on all three disciplines:  Trampoline, Tumbling and DMT

-       2000 Olympic Games alternate in Trampoline

-       1998 World Championships, Australia - 3rd Tumbling Team

-       1996 World Championships, Canada – 3rd Tumbling, 2nd Team Tumbling, 1st Team DMT

 

Artistic Gymnastics:

-       NCAA Gymnast  2000-2004 for United States Air Force Academy

-       2004 Collegiate National Championships Outstanding Senior Gymnast – Given to the  athlete that demonstrates the best athletic ability, scholastic achievement, dedication and devotion to the sport

-       Career Highs – 9.875 Vault, Beam 9.9, Floor 9.925, AA – 38.575

-       USAG All-American in All-Around, Vault and Floor

 

Coaching History:

-       Guest Coach at All Star Athletics in Pocatello, ID (September 2010 – December 2010).  Working with cheerleaders, gymnasts and trampoline and tumbling athletes.

-       Volunteer coach at the Hope Mills YMCA in 2005 and 2006.  Coached recreational beginning level gymnastics for preschool through Jr. High age children.

-       Coached all levels of Trampoline and Tumbling at Elite Performance in Pocatello (1998 – 2000).

 

Recent history:  After graduating from the US Air Force Academy in 2004, commissioned as a Lieutenant in the US Air Force and worked as an engineer. She recently returned from a three-year active duty tour in Japan as a Captain working as a construction manager/engineer.  She separated from the Air Force in April 2010 and coached at All Star Athletics in Pocatello, ID as a guest coach.

 2008 – Master’s Civil Engineering -- NC State, North Carolina

2008 5th AF Staff Company Grade Officer of the Year

2007 5th AF Staff Third Quarter Company Grade Officer of the Quarter

2006 374th Civil Engineer Squadron Third Quarter Company Grade Officer of the Quarter
