Gymnasts were recently tested and we are so pleased to announce the following:
New Level Three and Fours
Parents - I asked Ms. Christy to let me know a little more about the testing and I have decided to more or less quote her e-mail back to me.
There were approximately 30 girls, who ranged in age from age four to fifteen, who tested on Saturday. Testing started promptly at 10:00 am and finished at 12 p.m. All girls were tested on floor at the same time and were then broken up into three groups to go through testing. Quoting her further, "Their skills were very nice ... some girls were very advanced and that is exciting to see the potential of them all. We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to all parents for allowing their child this experience, especially the younger ones. It takes so much courage to come out and even test ... and it is exciting to see the girls and the commitment and excitement that they have for the sport. Looking forward to working with them."
In thinking about it, what is especially exciting to me (Sheryl) is that Ms. Christy was here testing new gymnasts about to start the world of gymnastics competition (which is so much fun and rewarding for the gymnasts) while Ms. Laurel was driving to Des Moines, Iowa and back home in two days so that Taylor Rai Johnson, one of our older gymnasts could compete in the Western Competition of top Level Nine gymnasts from the 25 western states - from our youngest just starting into the world of competition to one of our older, more experienced gymnasts. And, Parents, I bet it was just yesterday that Kristi was taking T Rai to her first testing - at least, it probably seemed like it was just yesterday!!!
