2008 WING DING FESTIVAL PERFORMANCE

(NOTE: Many of the photos are blurry because I took shots while they were performing. It is the first time that I've been able to take these action shots because we are not allowed to photograph our dance performances in competition or recital. But I'm going to put most of the photos on the web anyway so you can see the dancers and gymnasts in their performances.)

Parents, we want to thank you and our dancers and gymnasts so very much for helping Huff 'n Puff present such a good show. We appreciate you all so very much and we are so happy to be able for our kids to display their talents. We are so proud of them!!!!

Members of the Jacksonville Dance Company performed first, then some of our little preschoolers showed their early-developed skills, and then many members of the Jacksonville Gymnastics Competitive Team performed. We try to be very careful of what we ask of the gymnasts when they perform because they are used to using the spring floor. We were so pleased with the turnout. This was the largest group that we've had at the Wing Ding.

I think there will be so many photos that I need to break the article into different pages. Also, some of the clear photos are ending up blurry because of cropping and then bringing them in closer.

Ms. Laurel as she informs the audience as to our program and expresses our appreciation to all the performers and parents for coming out to support us. It is so nice to get to perform in this nice building - Could not help but remember back over the years when we performed out in the open in different parking lots around the community in all kinds of weather.

Our dancers are at a bit of a disadvantage because the last time they performed their company dances was at their National Competition in early July. And after we get back from there, the dancers audition for their new groups for the next year and have already begun learning their new dances. They practice a couple of times and then come to Wing Ding to perform for you - with all the two-minute costume changes and all. You all did a great job!!! Also, it was such fun to sit close to the stage and get to see the smiles and facials of you all.

The first group to perform was our youngest group of dancers, performing their hiphop to Hand Clap.
