We wish to extend our sincerest and deepest sympathies to the children and family members of T. J. Johnston and Ruth Bass, who were killed in a car crash Sunday night, June 8, 2008, just south of Cabot.
T. J., beloved father of Tori Hanley, a Level Eight Team Gymnast and Jacksonville Company Dancer, has been a part of our Huff ‘n Puff Family from the time that Tori walked through the door, over three years ago. T. J. not only supported Tori in each and every endeavor, but he supported Huff ‘n Puff as well. Many of you will recall that T. J. has been our Sweetheart Invitational Meet Announcer and emcee for the past three years, and he also performed as our Christmas Parade “Grinch,” winning over the hearts of children and adults alike. We will all miss T. J.’s smile and teasing ways at the gym.
Services were held on Friday at the Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 JFK Boulevard, North Little Rock. Visitation was from 12:00 to 1:00 and the funeral followed at 1:00.
Ruth Bass was the mother of six-year old Katy Bass, a Huff ‘n Puff Level Two gymnast, who has been at Huff ‘n Puff for two years. Ruth will be missed very much at the gym and Huff ‘n Puff functions. Services for Ruth will also be held at the Roller-Owens Funeral Home in North Little Rock. Visitation was on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 and the funeral service was held Saturday morning at 10:00.

Many of you have expressed an interest to help the family of T. J. Johnston. You may do so by donating Food for a dinner that will be held for his family immediately following the service. The Dinner will be held at T. J.’s home church, Fellowship North Bible Church. If you are interested in providing a dish for this occasion, you may contact Beverly Hauck at Fellowship North at 831-9040 to let her know what you will be bringing. We would like for you, if possible, to drop off your dish at the church before the funeral service Friday, which is being held at Roller-Owens. The lunch/dinner will be served in the Fellowship Hall (Fellowship North). Many of the family members are from out of state, so we know the meal will be appreciated.
Directions to church: Take the McCain exit and follow McCain across JFK Boulevard/AR-107 North. Continue up the hill to signal at North Locust and turn right. Take first left onto North 52nd Place. The church can be seen from there and is behind the Pikeview Elementary school.
