JACKSONVILLE GYMNASTICS

Huff 'n Puff held it's annual Skills Revue Thursday night, May 22, 2008 at the home gym.  Attendance was wonderful and each of the gymnasts were able to show his/herparents,  grandparents and friends the skills that they have learned during the past year.  The Revue was attended by so many gymnasts that it was held in four sessions:

Pre-School Gymnasts - 4:30

Pre-Level One - 5:30

Level One and Level Two - 6:30

Power Tumblers - 7:30

Huff 'n Puff is very proud of the programs that we present and we hope you feel that your child has progressed as you would have wished.

We also appreciate the Jacksonville Gymnastics Competitive Team Members who provided entertainment for the Skills Revue.  They were entertaining as well as showing the parents and other gymnasts what can be attained with hard work and dedication.  However, the athletes usually consider gymnastics to be more fun than hard work.  And the benefits are so many:  good health, a sense of well-being, coordination, better grades, wonderful friendships, overcoming shyness.  I could go on and on about these benefits, but just talk to other parents, if you have any doubts about the benefits.  There is also that benefit - friendship among the parents and perhaps having something in common with people other than co-workers.  See Photos below.

I tried to get photos of all of the children, but I'm sure that I was not successful.  Several of you asked about obtaining photos from me - but you may print them from the website.  And if you can, please get word to me thru the office and I will print some off for you.  I also want you to know that if I was unable to get a picture of your child at the skills revue, if you will call the gym, they will give you my phone number and we can make arrangements as to when I could meet you and your child (at their classtime, or whenever) and I will take separate pictures of your child.  We just didn't have enough time at the skills revue for me to do that.  I enjoy meeting each of you and would be happy to either print the picture or make arrangements for you to have the pictures.  Just plan to have your child in the skills revue attire and, of course, their medal, and we can take several poses.

The pictures are posted on separate pages by session.  Please take time to look thru all sessions and Enjoy!  Click on each session for photos!!!

Jacksonville Competitive Gymnasts Provide Additional Entertainment

Level Three and Four Gymnasts prepare to show off their skills for the parents

and other gymnasts as they perform to "Jump."

We sincerely wish to thank the parents who brought their children to participate with the team.

This is Sarah  - She is the youngest gymnast to compete with the Jacksonville Gymnastics Competitive Team - she was Level Three last year and is working on her Level Four skills.  She started competing at five years of age.

Jacksonville Gymnastics Competitive Gymnasts from Level Five, Six, Seven, Eight and Nine perform to "Thriller." Not only was the performance entertaining, it was also educational in learning more about the unbelievable tumbling skills performed by the gymnasts.  Thanks girl for your participation.  We are so proud of all of you.

As the gymnasts were waiting for their music, one gymnast seemed to be entertaining them with frog moves - I hesitate to say whose granddaughter that was!!!

Remember - they performed to "Thriller" - ha!
