MICHAL HODSON - 2009 - 2010
Ms. Michal Hodson, who will again be coaching a Level Two class, comes to us with a lengthy background in gymnastics. Michal began gymnastics at age three and continued through her sophomore year in high school. Upon ending her own gymnastics program, she began coaching and has coached preschoolers to Level Nine during her nineteen years of coaching. She received her degree in Exercise Physiology, with a minor in Sports Medicine, from Phillips University, Enid, Oklahoma. While in college, Michal was a university gymnast and also coached a competitive team in Enid. After graduating, she continued to coach in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and has coached several state and regional champion gymnasts. As a USAG certified judge for nine years, Michal is qualified to judge through Level Ten competitions. She has also done contract work writing curriculums for gyms throughout Oklahoma and for clinics held for coaching staffs in several gyms. Michal and husband Eric have two daughters who are gymnasts on the Jacksonville Gymnastics Competitive Team. Olivia, age ten, is a Level Five gymnast, and Reagan, age seven, is a Level Four gymnast.
Michal has been so good about subbing for us for both team and recreational classes (for which we are grateful) and we are so pleased that she will again be coaching a Level Two class on Wednesdays from 5:00 to 7:00 and other team levels, as well.
