Tori Hanley started gymnastics at age seven and competed at age eight at a Level Four gymnast. She won the State Fun Meet for her age bracket as a Level Four Individual All-Around Champion.
She competed for two years at Level Five, and the second year, she won the State Championship for her age bracket.
Tori Hanley, now age twelve but competing as a thirteen-year-old, came to Jacksonville Gymnastics in summer of 2005 and began competing with us at Level Six.
Tori was a member of the Jacksonville 2006 Level Six State Championship Team and she also won the Individual All-Around Championship for her age bracket at Level Six.
At competing age twelve, Tori competed as a Level Seven for season 2006-2007 and won second-place State Champion Individual All-Around, with a score of 37.975, losing first by only .15 of a point.
Tori was one of the two Jacksonville Gymnasts chosen to compete in the Level Seven Hall of Fame Competition that was held in May, 2007, in Oklahoma City. Only a certain number of gymnasts can compete in the Hall of Fame Meet and only six from Arkansas were selected (by their high scores at State Meet) to compete at this meet. Jacksonville Gymnastics was very pleased to have two of those six gymnasts from Arkansas competing against the other 70 from other surrounding states.
Tori has trained at the Bela Karolyi gymnastics training camp two years in a row.
Tori is also a member of the Jacksonville Dance Company. This will be her second year to compete Lyrical and HipHop.
She is in the seventh grade and makes straight A’s, including in her two Pre-AP classes.
And she does have another life besides gymnastics, too. She has been in school choir since the fifth grade and this year decided to try out for Regionals for extra credit at school. She made the All-Region Choir, and with the many other kids from the Region, performed at Harding University. Tori is also active in their church.
