JACKSONVILLE DANCE COMPANY
TO FORM NEW CATEGORIES
AND AGE GROUPS WITHIN COMPANY
Congratulations to the Jacksonville Dance Company – Different age groups within the Company competed in four different competitions this year and they did very well in each of the competitions. The groups performed even better with each competition and will attend the Kids Artistic Revue National Competition in Panama City, Florida in late June. Members of the Dance Company were as young as five years old when they auditioned last August and this group of dancers did very well in the competitions and placed high in each competition. The Company competed thirteen numbers this year in jazz, tap, lyrical, hiphop, pom and character.
This summer, Huff ‘n Puff will add several more categories to the Company – three to five-year-old tap, a four-five- pom group, a six-seven pom group and an eight-nine lyrical group. If you are interested in your child performing in any of these groups, please speak to the instructors or call Ms. Laurel soon. Summer classes and/or technique classes for company groups will begin the week of July 5th and dancers will audition in August. It is to your child’s benefit to attend the classes prior to audition. It is there that they lay the foundation for the audition and dances.
Current members of the Jacksonville Dance Company are:
Jewels: Carson Alvarez, Jillian Bratton, Amanda Crews, Kara Hutchinson, Alexandria Leirer and Hannah Reynolds.

Robinson Center Music Staff
The entire staff at Huff ‘n Puff and I wish to thank all students, parents and friends who have helped to make this year and the past twenty-six years such a growing, rewarding, and fun-filled experience.
I have some thoughts from earlier letters that I would like to repeat. Hopefully these thoughts will remind all of us of the gratitude we have for being able to perform here tonight and a thank-you for how hard all of us--your children, you parents, and our staff -- have worked for this accomplishment.
We could never have imagined that we would be where we are today. We are so grateful to all of you for your support of us and of our programs. We also hope you have as much pride in us as we have in your children and their accomplishments.
Parents, I know that you each are as proud of your children as we are but I also hope you are proud of our teachers and coaches. Our staff is awesome and we feel they are playing such a big part in your child’s life. Our Goal, from the very first year has been “We want your child to enjoy the pleasure of learning the art of dance or the skills of gymnastics while also experiencing the joy of achievement.” It is our sincere hope that when grown, your children will remember the fun and the achievements gained from their years at Huff ‘n Puff.
We acknowledge that we have a very good reputation in Jacksonville and our surrounding communities and we know that it is because of our staff and the fact that we all strive to better Huff ‘n Puff and our service to you and to the teaching of your children.
I cannot thank our entire staff—teaching, coaching and office—for all that they do every day for us and for your children.
I know that my mother, who helped us so much over the years, is up there smiling down with pride at Laurel, Tori and Madi, and at all of you, too. She so enjoyed watching the videos and seeing each child’s progress. We continue to thank her for her never-ending support over the years.
And again, I would like to honor my daughter. As I have said before, my pride lies not only in Laurel’s ability to dance or teach but also in her ability to see things as they are, to relate to people and to care for the students. Her creative talents, combined with dedication, and her courage to set higher goals, and to help the students attain those goals, have made Huff ‘n Puff an even better training facility for dance, gymnastics and cheerleading.
Your continued support of Laurel and our staff is sincerely appreciated. Without your support, we would be nothing.
